West Pier, Brighton - Monochrome

A monochrome view of Brighton's West Pier. The pier was opened in 1866 and was the first pier to be Grade 1 listed in England and wales but is now derelict. The pier closed to the public in 1975 and gradually fell in to disrepair and was ravaged by two separate fires in March & May 2003, both thought to be arson.
